Abstract
Abstract (En.): in Ruling 26/2024, the Constitutional Court acknowledged the constitutional legitimacy of a regional law that allowed the Region of Sardinia to increase the maximum number of patients per family doctor. In this case, the protection of citizens’ health was considered to outweigh the preservation of “civil order” and the contractual autonomy of the social partners. Consequently, the prevalence criterion was found to be in favor of the Region’s political autonomy.
