La presenza e l’impronta di Carlo Cattaneo all’Istituto Lombardo

This paper considers the multiple forms of Carlo Cattaneo's presence at the Istituto Lombardo- Accademia di scienze e lettere, as they emerge from his personal file in the archives of the Lombardo, from the minutes of the meetings of the members and from the list of works he presented. A number of reflections are then conducted that, starting from these forms, help to identify the imprint left by the scholar in the scientific life of the Institute and in the construction of a peculiar ‘paradigm of development’ to which other personalities who played significant roles at the Lombardo also contributed. The aim is to enhance the elements that project Cattaneo's legacy into the present and future of development dynamics.
