Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay reconstructs the birth of the Higher Institute of Physical Education at the Catholic University of Milan in the 1960s, highlighting the characteristic qualities desired by its promoter, the then Archbishop of Milan Giovanni Battista Montini, and the evolution of initiative up until the time of the student protest and the 1970s.
