Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In Hungary, academic pedagogy maintained a strong bond with the Catholic religion until the last thirty years of the nineteenth century. In the 1970s, the fast modernization of the Hungarian school system led to a preference for the herbartian pedagogy. The essay shows how the adherence to herbicism brought to Hungary, in the years between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, marked attention to psychology and pedagogy.
