Abstract
The management of supervision and compliance in the financial sector through technology (Regtech) presents multiple benefits for both intermediaries and supervisors, determines high costs and risks and may lead to a re-think financial supervision. This article offers a detailed analysis of these issues and discusses the role of FinTech within a re-conceptualization of regulation aimed at ordering the regulatory tsunami following the global financial crisis.
