La negazione in prospettiva semantico-pragmatica. Le dinamiche dello scope

[Autom. eng. transl.] The present work proposes a semantic and pragmatic focus on some aspects hitherto neglected or little explored by the tradition of negation studies, such as the role of negation in the constitution of semantic paradigms, as well as the sophisticated effects of meaning resulting from the diversification of the scope of negation, from the reversal of propositional contents to the modification of illocutions, to the articulated interactions with semantic paradigms and with conversational implicatures. Furthermore, the rhetorical and argumentative dimensions of denial are explored, highlighting in particular the role of negative oppositions in the constitution of some figures of elocutio, observed within the dynamics of persuasive communication.
