[Autom. eng. transl.] The research, study and experimentation that for several years have come to life and have acquired a form around the idea of art as a vehicle and as a tool for training and personal growth, have led to a profound reflection also in the field of music. Can music foster self-knowledge and individual growth? How does musical education promote the open and the construction of one's personal identity? The "G. Nicolini “from Piacenza, placing himself as a center of culture whose activity spreads throughout the territory, in collaboration with the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Piacenza, solicited by organizations such as the Rotary Piacenza Farnese, placed the attention to the problem, addressing all school orders, especially nursery schools, proposing interventions and initiatives that bring children closer to music, in the belief that the awareness of the art of sound is earlier, the greater the results obtained . Every individual, in fact, from childhood, must have the opportunity to access the creative dimension also through music, lived however, first of all, as an educational process and not necessarily as a performance. The artistic activity must therefore be connected and integrated with the didactic activity, thus representing a further modality of self-knowledge and discovery of one's own communication possibilities. Recovering the educational value of art, this is the necessity of our educational institutions, since it is now established that art and, in particular, music are born with man, with his need for communication: the creative impulse it comes from the unconscious and translates into expressive languages (theater, dance, visual arts, music) according to the modalities that correspond to the attitudes and predispositions of each one. Not taking note of the power and value of musical discipline in the manifestation of emotions, sensations and one's own inner poetry, means not to consider music a significant part of our intimate and anthropological needs.
