Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The study focuses on the ecart between the proposed regulation - at various levels - by the post-Tridentine Church and the actual field choices adopted by the musical chapels. If the first interprets the musical event as an instrument intended to emphasize the decorum, the splendor, the magnificence of the religious institution, the practice - by virtue of a relevant aesthetic overexposure - unequivocally marks the triumph of the siren over the angel, that is to say the overcoming of liturgical functionality to the advantage of spectacularity and, therefore, of the logic of enticement.
