Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] On the level of theoretical reflection and empirical analysis, the volume deals with the significance of family ties in the experience of migrant people, the problematic aspects that characterize them and those that make them a resource for those who activate them, a sort of "capital "Human and social to cultivate and spend in the difficult dynamics of meeting with host countries. The volume is divided into three parts: the first, entitled "the interdisciplinary reference theoretical framework", frames the complex phenomenon of migration in a family perspective with socio-demographic, psychological, sociological and philosophical contributions. The second part focuses on the theme of social networks, policies and services, identifying processes of social relevance that have repercussions on families involved in migration choices. Finally, the third party offers a critical survey of the literature on migrant families and presents some psycho-social and clinical research.
