Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay traces a broad and articulated panorama of the important literary genre of memorialism, which had great development in the nineteenth century, and to which the work of Castromediano belongs, identifying its characterizing aspects and highlighting some problems, such as the chronology, the motivations, themes, stylistic options, publication methods through the rereading of the many members of the Risorgimento memorial, from the most famous to the least.
