Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contemporary experience of time is that of acceleration, which results in alienated bonds. It is not possible to propose the liturgical happening as an alternative to acceleration, because the rejection of the current era would contradict the logic of historical revelation. On the contrary, the Christological foundation of faith pushes us to assume time as a structure thanks to which we can authentically live our relationship with the Father and with our brothers and sisters. The liturgy is the symbolic mediation of that temporality, which allows for a critical rooting in history.
