Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] How can we approach the conflict between couples, which are increasingly widespread today, in view of family reorganization after separation or divorce? What is the role of the family mediator, that equivocal and equidistant "third" subject between the conflicting parents? What are your professional skills required by current legislation? The volume focuses on the mediator's training process, on his working method and on the tools used in the path with the separated or divorced couple. His "clinical" competence and his place in the network of resources offered by the community in the complex transition of divorce are also illustrated through the presentation of concrete cases, in which his function as trustee in the negotiation between separated fathers and mothers emerges. The care of relations between genders, generations and lineages makes family mediation a fundamental resource, a bridge between two different existential realities but connected by a common desire to save the value of bonds. Within the international historical tradition and in the light of the "symbolic relational" theoretical model, the skills of the family mediator are presented. The volume, also thanks to the testimonies of separated parents, is aimed at the scientific community of family mediators, family psychologists, lawyers, judges and socio-educational operators.
