[Autom. eng. transl.] In this article some passages of Simmelian thought about freedom are delineated and discussed, which begins by confirming the existence of a fracture between the idea and the experience of freedom, which has been affirmed in modern philosophical thinking and in organized forms. of social life. Afterwards, the trajectory that Simmel has followed to drive freedom beyond the dilemmas in which he had fallen is analyzed and continues to run the risk of falling whenever it is interpreted as the absolute prerogative of an abstract individual, who has no link. When freedom is examined again from a relational perspective - starting with a certain idea of the subject and in relation to the continuity of life - Simmel gives us the opportunity to analyze what can be imagined of freedom in the time we live.
