Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article proposes the study of the poetic production of Delia Quiñónez, winner of the Miguel Ángel Asturias National Prize for Literature in Guatemala in 2016. Despite being one of the most interesting poets of the current Guatemalan literary scene and despite her active role in From the literary group Nuevo Signo, the poetry of Delia Quiñónez is little known abroad and has been the subject of few critical studies also in Guatemala. The article proposes to rescue its human and literary figure, to promote the study of its poetic production, which has questioned the advantages of capitalism and modernity in Guatemala, clearly demonstrating its dangers and contradictions.
