Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution publishes an important letter from Cencio Rustici to Francesco da Fiano which describes the important discoveries of ancient codes made in San Gallo by the author himself with his friends Poggio Bracciolini and Bartolomeo Aragazzi. Unlike the story of his friend Poggio, contained in a famous letter, here Rustici does not mention the discovery of the codex with Quintilian intact, rather insisting on the discovery of authors hitherto completely unknown.
