Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] It must be remembered that even before the negotiations that led to Italy granting the immediate increase in quotas of 5% (6% for what has already been said), our country had enjoyed an increase like all other EU countries of 1% decided in the first months of 2008 and became operational with the 2008/09 campaign. Initially this increase had passed quite unnoticed, because due to the difficulties of the bureaucratic machine it had not been possible to divide it among the producers translating it into individually available quota increases, however its effects had been felt a posteriori at the time of the campaign budget and therefore compensation for redundancies and deficits. In fact, while for the 2007/08 campaign there were about 1,500 producers with withdrawals (already reduced to less than a third compared to the immediately preceding years) for a levy charged of almost 170 million euros (an amount in moderate reduction compared to the previous campaigns) ), in the 2008/09 campaign the companies subject to withdrawal had fallen to less than 900, while the corresponding amount had fallen by 70%
