Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article proposes an investigation of the concepts 'history' and 'word' in the work of Augusto Roa Bastos through the analysis of the story 'Draft of a report'. The study of the resources used by the author to demonstrate the fallacy of the written word and the need to see reality through multiple perspectives are explained in the binariness that occurs throughout the text. The dichotomies show / hide, know / ignore, that the criticism (Bergero and Pérez) indicates as a transposition of the Guarani-Spanish linguistic diglossia, transform 'Draft of a report' into a story of fundamental importance when studying the work of Augusto Roa Bastos due to the reality / written word contrast that characterizes it and that summarizes the story / word contrast present in all Roabastian works.
