Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay constitutes the third paragraph of a chapter dedicated to the definition of the historical-epistemological framework of language teaching. The presented contents are placed in a current perspective and are based on the concepts of interdisciplinarity and linguistic education. In this perspective, a definition of language teaching is proposed, centered on its metadisciplinary dimension and on plurilingual and intercultural competence as the primary objective of every process of education in languages and languages.
