Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume outlines the path of justice in ancient Greece, from archaism to the Hellenistic age. From a justice of divine origin, arbitrarily administered by the aristocrats, we reach, through the codification of laws, the popular justice that is exercised in the polis under the control of the citizens. The decline of the urban experience leads to the justice of the king judge, certainly less "democratic", but who has the merit of being accessible to a vast number of people, regardless of their ethnic origin and their status, and to give rise, with Hellenistic law, to a common juridical civilization
