Many, for example, the meanings that can emanate from the so-called Crimes against life of which - in an expressively figurative sense - the Joad family is repeatedly victim and whose migration destiny is described in the novel. Events through which it represents itself as an exemplary witness of a justice that is such precisely as stubborn reaffirmation of life itself, despite all its denial; life depicted as a bond with the earth and, therefore, with a community of participants in solidarity with the human condition of suffering and exploitation .
