[Autom. eng. transl.] Between the second half of 2020 and the first months of the new year, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan once again found itself having to manage some very delicate political passages that well describe the complex game of balances that characterized its most recent history. The results of this phase show more shadows than lights and still have many unknowns. Nonetheless, some significant events at the end of 2020 could offer the Jordanian government unexpected opportunities to refocus and relaunch its action. First of all, the Kingdom has had to face some important tests resulting from long-term political dynamics that have now come to fruition. The decision to proceed with the definitive dissolution of the historical branch of the Muslim Brotherhood association is an evident representation. The ability and determination to implement this provision without incurring large demonstrations and protests confirms the effectiveness of the Jordanian strategy and, of course, highlights the crisis that this organization has been experiencing for years. At the same time, however, this provision imposes on the Hashemite system the challenge of managing in the medium and long term the relationship with that part of the country that had always supported such training, making it the main force of opinion in Jordanian political life.
