Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The Assessment has almost a hundred years of history. From its first applications in the '26 in the selection in the military, to its use in the evaluation of the potential in the industry, up to the most recent uses in the formation / development, its form and its techniques have undergone considerable changes. This evolution of contents and uses, which today increasingly see it as a development center, was accompanied by a proliferation of scientific research aimed at attesting the validity of its methods. This book is born from the need to take stock of these studies with the aim of understanding which techniques can be considered reliable and which practices must be privileged among others. The presentation of this research is followed by the summary, which at present is possible to delineate each instrument or practice employed, with the final indication of the method which, on the basis of scientific evidence, can be described as more effective and free from mistakes. The themes that the book deals with are multiple, extending from the design of the Assessment and Development architecture to the definition of the tools that can concretely be used in the evaluation / training sessions. The theme of the coordination of the entire process connected to the introduction and use of in-company evaluation, as well as the management of the individual evaluation or development sessions, is also examined in depth. The legal aspects, related to the professional figures that are authorized to operate, as well as to the constraints that delimit the evaluation practices, are complementary, making the volume truly complete. It is a book that is aimed at all those who already work with such methodologies in the direction of personnel or who, on the other hand, approach them for the first time, and want to have both an overview of the research that, to date, have been conducted in the international panorama, is a support for the address of one's own professional choices.
