Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Not everyone knows that the typology of the seductive aristocrat, as presented by Ramón del Valle-Inclán through the character of the Marqués de Bradomín, does not find its first expression in the most famous Sonatas, but in the traits of the personality of Don Miguel Montenegro, protagonist of the story Rosarito, composed in Villanueva de Arosa in 1894 and published in the Femeninas collection of 18951. As with many of the short narratives of Valle-Inclán, the text was subsequently revised and inserted by the author in different anthologies: Historias perversas del 1888, Cofre de sándalo of 1909, until the definitive edition contained in Jardín umbrío, dating back to 1920.
