Abstract
In the multifaceted language of the travel guides about French regions, we can find a representation of sterotypes as well as evidences of the cultural heritage of France. Starting from the descriptions of traditional dishes and drinks, students of FLE (French as a Foreign Language) can understand the relationship between food, language and culture. Some exemples, taken from the Guide Vert Normandie and Guide du Routard Pyrénées Gascogne, are analysed in this paper with a didactic perspective.
