Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This volume bears witness to the interest developed over the years, between the second and third millennium, for the phenomenon of musical education over the centuries. The re-foundation of the subject of investigation, after the positivist phase, was prompted by a series of sectors of investigation which facilitated the reopening of a fairly forgotten object. The curiosity to enter the ganglia of those workshops producing musicians - composers, instrumentalists, singers - has renewed open studies and allowed us to learn unpublished information. The most disparate solicitations have led to underlining the need to probe direct and indirect sources to better and more inform this interesting topic. A swarm of scholars has been called to re-evaluate a very intricate world trying to shed light on the methods of education by indicating disparate perspectives and readings. The learning methods have focused attention on a very sophisticated system which soon spread throughout an international territory, the warp developed in the forges of the Neapolitan conservatories proves to be effective and exportable but above all it is able to satisfy the bulimic European musical demand . If the 'rules' rise as a great element of observation and analysis, in that success of intent now universally recognized and started from the pioneering investigations of a small number of reckless and tenacious scholars, the world that produces them shows no less interest.
