Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The paper investigates the conclusion of the "Satyricon" according to the "Traduction entière de Pétrone" printed, with numerous re-editions, starting from 1693 by F. Nodot, a polygraph who claimed to have found a complete edition in Belgrade in 1688 of the Petronian work. The last section of the story is then examined, as a specimen of a later, broader work, to understand the technique with which Nodot filled the gaps in the text of the "Satyricon"; the Introduction is also examined, where the work of Petronius is presented as a "key novel":
