Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The central nucleus of Strawson's thought is identified with "descriptive metaphysics", which despite having different objectives from classical metaphysics, gives meaning back to some of the metaphysical questions that logical neopositivism and analytic philosophy considered meaningless. the solutions offered by Strawson take up and rethink Kant's theories, but at the same time they differ from both the analytical and the traditional metaphysics. For this reason, Strawson's thought has raised an interesting debate that has also involved important exponents of contemporary thought, as is documented in this work.
