Abstract
This essay is part of a collection of contributions devoted to the women role in the contemporary society. In particular, it focuses the attention on four significant topics: the growing presence of women in the public sphere (and particularly in the labour market); the “feminization” of business organizations (and the related rhetoric of female qualities and attitudes); the “feminization” of poverty and social inequalities; the future or welfare and accumulation regimes in front of the new division of labour between men and women.
