Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume, going to the deepest roots of the phenomenon of globalization, both of the nature of family relationships and placing them both on the scene of an intimately risky society, shows that the family continues to represent a place where society itself can draw on the source of belonging. The transformations of the family must be read in the light of the "risky" nature that today all the social relations and the observation of the family have assumed as a "plot" of generations. The concept of risk is translated into an interpretative model for social research on the family, analyzing family transitions as situations of balance between resources and challenges, to measure their risky potential. The family is observed in its transit through experiences and vital passages, in which the generational plot emerges clearly in addition to the risky dimension
