Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The difficulty in recognizing the family in its social and political subjectivity, and in adequately supporting it, also depends on the aversion that much of modern political philosophy has nurtured regarding the "intermediate bodies". The essay supports this thesis, then dwelling on the postmodern problematization of family identity and finally showing how in the Church's social teaching on the subject of the family - already mentioned in the initial paragraph of the study - "the contours of a possible alternative" are outlined
