Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The "hidden hunger" is one of the most worrying consequences of the economic crisis with which, for almost a decade, Italy has been confronting, along with the rest of the West. It is called "hidden hunger" because it produces relapses that are not immediately apparent: it mainly affects children and could undermine their growth process, in a way that is not perceptible and in medium-long times. This "hidden hunger" is extending its offshoots even in the heart of large cities at the top of national economic development, among Italian families without particular emergency profiles other than those related to the loss or worsening of working conditions. This research intends to shed light on this dark, dramatic and almost ignored turn of the economic crisis.
