Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Through an extensive reconnaissance on the texts it is shown how the unfortunate episode of the destruction of Milan by Federico Barbarossa remains very much in the shadow in the Risorgimento literature (and also in the librettist), committed, if anything, in patriotic function, to highlight the following events , from the oath of Pontida to the battle of Legnano.
