Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In Ethics and Infinity (1982) by Emmanuel Lévinas an astronomical image appears twice, but as a reversed sign. In one case it is the sun (and the sky), which the subject of the knowledge of Descartes, the cogito, succeeds in giving himself making himself almost the fixed star of the firmament. In the other case, an expression by Maurice Blanchot is quoted, which forces the word "dis-astro" to break it, to indicate the failure of this Herculean effort to make oneself the lever with which to lift the world.
