Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The article is inserted in the theoretical framework that questions the universal character of some models of courtesy analysis and draws attention to the need to address the issue based on the perception of the listener in an intercultural perspective. Spanish and Italian, despite being two very similar languages, do not always share the same rules of linguistic courtesy. A more focused teaching work in the contrastive analysis of pragmatic aspects and in the metalinguistic reflection on the perlocutive effects of some speech acts allows intercultural competence to be developed, since, if on the one hand affinity increases empathy, on the other it creates false assimilations that can cause misunderstandings.
