Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Among the challenges that today the various economic actors, primarily organizations, are today called upon to face there are undoubtedly those linked to sustainability and sustainable development. In fact, it is becoming increasingly clear that the ability of companies to survive and succeed over time is linked to the modalities of management and monitoring of the interdependent relationship between the protection and enhancement of natural resources and the economic and social dimension of action of enterprise in a perspective aimed at guaranteeing the satisfaction of the needs of the current generations, avoiding to compromise the ability to satisfy their needs on the part of future generations. This phenomenon is even more compelling to the extent that the stability of the contexts can no longer be taken for granted: the physical environment is becoming increasingly unpredictable, the increasingly interconnected global economy is changing social conditions and innovation technology is transforming the nature of consumption and production.
