La cooperazione civile-militare. Dall’Afghanistan a una proposta di modello di intervento

Translated title of the contribution: [Autom. eng. transl.] Civil-military cooperation. From Afghanistan to a proposed intervention model

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contributions collected in the text offer an in-depth analysis on the themes of international cooperation in conflict and post-conflict contexts through the different perspectives presented by subjects belonging to different worlds: the academy, institutions, associations and NGOs. The proposed reflection follows four fundamental axes: the question of decentralization and good governance in fragile states or in post-war transition; the problems posed by partnerships both between international and local actors and within the international community between inter and non-governmental actors; the question of "representations", ie how concepts such as the fight against poverty and good governance can be used for political purposes and how memory can be used instrumentally to perpetuate divisions and stereotypes; finally, the questions raised by the difficult assessment of the impact of international intervention, often decentralized and without significant coordination mechanisms.
