Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This volume is part of the line of studies dedicated to the aspect of the verb and in particular aims to investigate the factual value (obščefaktičeskoe) of the Russian imperfective in situations of 'competition' with the perfective. In light of the numerous contributions that precede it, the work proposed here first adopts a corpus-based perspective and uses quantitative methods aimed at discerning the semantic and pragmatic differences between the two aspectual brands in the expression of accomplished events; the examples of authentic language taken from the oral sub-corpus of the Nacional'nyj Korpus Russkogo Jazyka are then subjected to statistical analysis, in order to determine the factors that most influence the aspectual choice. Given the complexity of the topic and at the same time the frequency of use of the factual imperfective, the latter is also investigated from an acquisitional point of view. We therefore report the results of a series of tests conducted in the Russian L2 classes, thanks to which the level of knowledge and acquisition of the factual value by Italian-speaking learners was verified, as well as the validity of the main theories relating to the acquisition of Appearance.
