Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] At the time of its foundation (1921) the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan adopted peculiar educational and didactic formulas that evolved over time due to changes in the legal framework and the Italian socio-economic context. The strong character due to the founder Agostino Gemelli, after his death (1959) had to deal with an acceleration of social problems and with the expansion of the demand and the educational offer. The essay reconstructs the peculiar traits of Gemelli's successors until the end of the twentieth century.
