Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In this chapter, internal communication is proposed with a view to understanding its complex and multi-purpose role in the dynamics of organizational phenomena. In other words, we suggest seeing internal communication not only as a set of initiatives aimed at informing and enabling organizational subjects to operate, but also as a set of communication flows, relational exchanges and practices aimed at contributing both to development of individuals within organizations and of organizations themselves in their competitive environment. By adopting this perspective that sees internal communication increasingly oriented in its evolution towards organizational communication, four key dimensions of internal communication become particularly relevant, each of which has an objective aimed at contributing to the development of the organization and of the subjects that make it. part. Alongside each of the four dimensions, which at the same time represent its objectives, are presented some examples of relevant business cases and some specific tools that have been used and that can be used in the implementation of internal communication strategies and programs.
