Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Generosity (as well as hospitality) is a virtue held in high esteem in Islam and is a hallmark of which the community is proud. Charity, in fact, is strongly recommended in Islamic sources, that is, in the Koran, the direct and literal transcription of the Word of God, and in the Sunna, the sayings and facts of the prophet Muhammad.
The fundamental principles and practices of Islamic finance date back to the first part of the 7th century. AD, developing and renewing itself over the centuries, in order to provide the Muslim community with a system that adheres to the values of Islam. It is a complex of practices, transactions, contracts and relationships between subjects that find inspiration in the Islamic sources Quran and Tradition (Sunna) and conform to the relative dictates. This means that it would be misleading to consider it a recent phenomenon, or a simple Islamized version of Western finance.
