Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay frames the figure of Giovanni Tacuino da Trino of Monferrato, one of the most prolific printer-publishers of the Venice of the Renaissance. The occasion of Manuziano's centenary offers the opportunity of a confrontation between a great innovator like Aldo and an entrepreneur who moves in the wake of tradition like the Trinese. More than real competition, we can speak of a different reference public, looking for different publishing products.
