Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In the 1950s and 1960s, Italy witnessed a significant transformation of the mass-media landscape which has one of the driving forces in music (especially popular). The volume examines the forms and modalities of this change in a multidisciplinary perspective, paying attention on the one hand to the media, on the other to the contents and communication models conveyed by music. Through reconstructions of scenarios and case studies, the processes of mediatization, technological change, new communicative and performative models represented by singers (male and female), as well as the emergence of the category of young people (both tea and singers and in the audience).
