Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume provides a theoretical in-depth tool for educators and teachers serving in kindergarten and primary school and for students of Primary Education who are looking for a detailed overview of mathematical content to be transmitted to their students and the reason why these arguments are fundamental in the cultural formation of the person. Alongside the more purely disciplinary aspects, it presents a series of didactic comments and a wide range of proposals that can be implemented in the daily teaching practice. Through these ideas, the authors intend to propose a teaching focused on the experience and on the personal involvement of the students, as an approach more suitable to allow them a more effective appropriation of mathematical skills also in terms of ability to express hypotheses and conjectures with an appropriate language. The topics dealt with concern the basics of logic, set theory, arithmetic, statistics, probability, plane and three-dimensional geometry.
