Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The work traces the relationship between photography and missionary activity through the photographic archive of the fathers of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME) in Milan and, in particular, the analysis of photographic material relating to the mission in China at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries .
