Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The staging of the tragedy has tried to bring out in the plot the theme of the search for the identity of the protagonist Ion through the search for his parents, the relativity of being foreign according to the city and the problematic nature of Athenian citizenship, the theme of adoptive parenting and of blood. The interpretation touched upon the registers of tragedy, tragic irony and comedy.
