[Autom. eng. transl.] In the literature, the term "taboo" is associated with care work in relation above all to resistances and repressions related to the sexuality of patients, emotional involvement, discomfort and burnout of caregivers, disgust of the aging or sick body, impotence , to pain and death. All aspects that, in different ways and to different measures, come into play in the borderline situations that health professionals sometimes have to deal with. It is therefore necessary to lift the veil of reticence on these issues and to offer care workers spaces for thought and tools to elaborate what, although "forbidden" by the logic of impassiveness and performance, is actually more "sacred" inside of the therapeutic relationship.
