Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The Youth Report is a project promoted by the Giuseppe Toniolo Institute in 2012, in collaboration with the Catholic University and with the support of the Cariplo Foundation and Intesa Sanpaolo, with a first large quantitative survey. The interest in continuing in a longitudinal way the collection of information on the paths and life choices of a large group of young people has subsequently led to the establishment of a panel of 5073 members. Among the topics addressed, training and work, the relationship with the family and faith, the transition to adult life, values and social participation. The analyzes proposed in the various chapters of the volume confirm that the interpretations that try to explain only through economic factors or, in contrast, only through cultural reasons, the difficulties of the new generations in realizing their life goals and becoming actors in the production of new economic and social well-being.
