Introduzione alla logica

[Autom. eng. transl.] The task of a philosopher is to reflect on the conditions of possibility of what is given in our experience and the reflection on these conditions of possibility consists partly in reasoning about what we know to understand what we do not know. If we reason appropriately, then we construct valid arguments, that is, arguments in which the truth of the conclusion follows from the truth of the premises. The reflection on the conditions of possibility of experience constitutes itself one of the data of which we have experience, and it is therefore part of our task to determine the conditions of possibility of reasoning appropriately and the structures that characterize the correct reasoning. The determination of these conditions and these structures constitutes the primary ambit of logic.
