[Autom. eng. transl.] In the last decades of the sixteenth and in the first half of the seventeenth century, literature, visual arts and music intertwine a very dense series of relationships, following the sixteenth-century reflections on the topical theme of the common mimetic nature of the three little sisters, but at the same time trying ways never tried before. . The poetic, figurative, musical language tends its expressive faculties to the highest degree, aspiring - one would say - to overcome the limits of the instruments of each code thanks to interference with the others, in the sign of a research polarized on similar interests. However, the subject, on which there is a vast and updated critical bibliography, still offers space for profitable insights, both in terms of precise historiographical investigations and in the reconstruction of a theoretical background.
