Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The chapter is the Introduction of the book, which seeks to investigate aspects of the relationship between boys and girls through digital cultures, which have become invasive central and invasive in their lives, not yet fully explored. It can be easily understood that adolescent labor, however, affects males and females to varying degrees. The latter, often more mature in relationships and capable of enormous progress in the study, however, find themselves increasingly weak in the face of attacks on reputation, the violation of their image, or blackmail that subtracts self-esteem. The book was created to reflect on these issues and is the result of the project "Digit.ALL - Young Digital Advocates as actors of change: for a culture against hate speech towards women online and offline", funded by the Equal Opportunities Department of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in application of the Council Convention of Europe on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence. This treaty, approved in 2011 and better known as the Convention of Istanbul shows its relevance even ten years later, with Turkey's decision to leave it in 2021. In the case of Digit.ALL created by the Research Center on Intercultural Relations of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart together with the Research and Studies Center on Security and Crime RiSSC, we worked by bringing out the stereotypes, prejudices and implications that are part of our society in relation to the relationship between genders, but above all by declining the theme in the relationship between peers, between boys and girls, revealing the links between online and offline attitudes
